ProductCamp ON>LINE 2021: Mean Dean’s Dangerous Animals of Product Management
Picture this: you’re a forward-thinking product manager with a clear product vision, a value-driven prioritization framework, & a context-rich road map. You make it a point to listen to customer needs and incorporate feedback from many different perspectives. Yet, throughout the product management process, stakeholders come to the table with invalidated requests. “This must be built,” they insist, “and right away.”
How do we avoid having our vision & strategy stampeded by such stakeholders & situations? Glad you asked.
This coming June 11th at 2:35 PM EST, I’ll be presenting on the art of managing stakeholders & staying true to your product strategy at this year’s ProductCamp ON>LINE 2021.
In this humorous and conversational presentation, I’ll detail some helpful insights and approaches to identifying and taming these dangerous animals who might otherwise trample your carefully planned product vision and strategy.

Why bother listening to me? Well, in the off chance you haven't had a chance to visit my nearly famous DeanOnDelivery blog, I’m a seasoned & battle-hardened agile product manager & recovering programmer with a secret past life as a professional opera singer. Currently, I’m the Associate Product & Strategy Director at IQVIA where I provide my product & technical expertise to IQVIA’s Analytics Center of Excellence as they transform clinical trials through human data science & artificial intelligence. That’s going to change very soon, but more on that later.
On the more human side, I hope one day to the beach to run a hotdog stand where I can offer sage advice on gardening & computer-generated music while sharing my unique and intriguing journey into product management with anyone who will listen … but not just yet. For now, let’s talk about herding those wild animals that are stampeding your backlog with ‘great ideas.’
Seeya there! FYI, pith Helmet & Safari Jacket optional, but appreciated.
